It has taken some time for winter to settle in here in Western Mass and Northern Connecticut. In fact, we’re surprised there haven’t been any calls for mosquito control and tick service given the 60 degree temps through November.
Our Mosquito Shield trucks have been put away but we would’ve found a way to get out there.
While the trucks are in hibernation, Mosquito Shield of Western Mass and Northern Connecticut is still hard at work perfecting the process of keeping mosquitoes and ticks out of your yard. When the 2016 season rolls around, we are going to introduce FlexBlend in towns like Wilbraham, Belchertown, Westfield, and South Hadley.
It will be the first time this system has been utilized for the 413 in the mosquito control field. This unique advance involves adapting both the product and the process to the specific conditions of each town, and in many cases, each property.
Mosquito Shield’s main weapon in the fight to control mosquitoes is Mosquito Protection Blend, the proprietary formula created over a decade ago that utilizes a blend of natural products to control the mosquito population.
This formula, combined with an EPA-registered control product, eradicates and repels mosquitoes and ticks like nothing else we’ve found on the market.
What 15 years of research has shown is that adjusting the blend according to the time of season, weather patterns, and the specific environment in your yard will have even a greater impact on the mosquito and tick population. FlexBlend was tested in various locations last season with great success and we are looking forward to rolling it out here.
There is no telling what the impact of a mild winter will have on the mosquito and tick populations in Western Mass and Northern Connecticut. Also, as any seasoned New Englander knows, winter “ain’t over ‘til it’s over,” and we could end up buried just like we were in 2015.
While we can’t predict the weather, we can safely say we are ready for all outcomes. We are looking forward to getting out in the spring and visiting our friends from Whately to West Springfield, Amherst to Agawam.
We are in the process of accepting pre-pay orders for 2016 at a heavy discount from the Full Season Protection Plan. The response has been great and we appreciate the faith that our customers have put in the product and the process.
Mosquito Shield of Western Mass and Northern Connecticut wishes everyone a great 2016, full of prosperity and free of mosquitoes and ticks.
